Qualifications

For Non-graduates of John Dewey School for Children

  1. The applicant must be a member of his/her school’s Grade 7, 8, or 9 batch at the time of application.
  2. He/She must have good grades and deportment.
  3. He/she must have a Learner Reference Number (LRN) provided by the Department of Education.

General Instructions to Parents

Kindly prepare the following requirements and email to info@johndewey.edu.ph before the deadline of application.

A. For Assessment

  1. Accomplished online assessment and application forms. Type in BLOCK LETTERS. 
  2. Digital image of applicant’s most recent 1½ x 1½ colored picture 
  3. Scanned copy of the applicant’s original National Statistics Office (NSO) birth or adoption certificate (for validation only) 
  4. Scanned copy of the current grade level report card
  5. Pay the online assessment fee. (The assessment details such as Zoom meeting ID, password, schedule, etc. will be provided to you.)

B. For Enrollment

Step 1.  Get the following forms from the Admin Office:

  • Student Information Form
  • Recommendation Form (Homeroom Adviser)
  • Recommendation Form (Guidance Counselor and/or Principal)
  • Child History Form
  • Emergency Contact Sheet
  • Fetcher’s Information Form

Step 2:  A family online interview, via Zoom, will be scheduled after all requirements have been submitted. The school principal and/or vice-principal together with the grade level coordinator/s will be interviewing you and your child.

Step 3: Pay the corresponding tuition and school fees.

Foreign Applicants

Please submit the following additional requirements:

    1. Scanned copy of alien certificate
    2. Scanned copy of passport pages showing: applicant and parent/s picture, date of birth, passport number, date of issue and expiration date

To parents of JDSC Grade School graduates

Graduates of JDSC Grade School do not need to go through the procedure above. A letter with a reply slip will be sent to you. Please submit the reply slip to your child’s homeroom adviser and pay the Non-Refundable Reservation Fee on the date indicated in the letter to ensure a slot for your child. 

Application Schedule

Assessment (new students) – ongoing throughout the school year for entry the following school year

Enrollment Schedule

    • Continuing students – December to April 
    • New students – January to May provided slots are available

Please apply as soon as possible because these deadlines will be changed as soon as the quota is reached.

IMPORTANT: Incomplete application forms will not be processed. Applicant will be scheduled for the assessment a week after the completion of the requirements. Please update the office of any changes in your contact numbers. Results of the test will be released during the scheduled interview of the applicant and the parents.
