Image Guidelines

  • Do not upload raw, unedited, uncompressed images.
  • Homepage slider banners 1200 x 500 px
  • All other images max width: 1200 px

Goal: keep web page file size below 1mb

  • Image file size ideally < 250 kb, best practice < 100 kb
  • Limit # of photos to 5 per page.
  • If file size is smaller, you can add more images just keep in mind not to exceed 1mb total.

1 Rename image

Use descriptive file names for images. This will be useful for proper and easier identification. Makes it easier to look for images using the Media Library

Example:

·        wrong: Ayumi2.jpeg

·        correct: jdsc-hs-student-ayumi-02.jpeg
